Baby&Toddler Events

Updated: Sep 6, 2021

Your going to be a parent or know someone who is?! Hooray fantastic news.

This little bundle of Joy is going to be the center of your universe and now is the time to start prepping and nesting for your little chick to come into the world.

Nesting can bring on overwhelming feelings, especially when choosing your baby essentials. There is now so much on the market it is hard to choose which product is going to be most suitable for you. Baby and Toddler Exhibitions bring together everything you need to give your baby the best start, all in one space. The shows themselves offer best price guaranteed on 100s of brands, provide expert advice, workshops and demos all within the comfort of your own home for 2021.

I have personally saved nearly 50% by attending the Shows in the past.

Previous exhibitions of course have been held in ultimate locations such as Excel Olympia and Sandown Park. The two power houses of baby exhibitions are The Baby Show and The Baby&Toddler Show.

Remember how your midwife asked you to write a birth plan? Do the same for your Nesting plan, think about how you want to parent. Will your breastfeed? maybe for a little bit? Or straight to bottle? Do you have stairs in your property? Do you drive? Do you have storage space for your pram? Will you use all organic products? Will baby share a bedroom with you? How would you like your baby to sleep and where? How would you like to sterilize? Disposable nappies or cloth nappies? Are you aiming for a eco living lifestyle?

These are all things you want to consider when prepping for baby or when buying for someone special, ask them be interested in what people want for their child. Write a list of what you need, so many people tend to over buy when it comes to baby you will find items with tags on months down the line. I would say when buying for your newborn baby stick to sleepsuits and rompers, the pretty dresses and bow ties are great for when they get older but comfort is key when they are tiny.

Back when socialization was a thing, me and my girlfriends made a day of the exhibitions.

It was so lovely having a few of my besties all expecting at the same time because we had a great support group and mutual understanding of how we was all feeling, although every pregnancy is different it is relatable in some way. Finding someone that is also carrying can really help lift anxiety and reservations about pregnancy and the birth, same for Dads-to-Be or second Mama.. Find yourself a Buddy!! trust me you're gonna need an ear when your other half is screaming blue murder because you have left your socks on the floor (Pregnancy hormones can be intense) but don't worry hormones will eventually level. Just keep being supportive guys!

Maybe a fun way to shop would be to host a zoom call with your besties, get some pillows a blanket, light a candle and pour yourself a nice cup of decaf tea of course ;) have a giggle and chat about all the bargains you have bagged yourself!
